2025 was quite a year for me. Some unfortunate losses but some real victories as well. But I would have to say that my proudest moment of 2025 was my play Shepherd winning the Best Stageplay Competition at the 32nd Annual Austin Film Festival. To call it an honor would be an understatement, but more than the trophy it was so absolutely energizing to spend those 3 days amongst so many passionate and gifted storytellers. The panels, the roundtables, the screenings, the parties. The whole experience was an absolute gift and unforgettable. Also, the play could have never made it this far without the support of four wonderful theater groups that helped me to develop the play: The Seven Devils New Play Foundry + Juggernaut Theater Company, Divine Riot and The Actors Studio.
